Amber Beckers started working as a freelance photographer in 2002. During her internship as a
photojournalist in the USA and after writing her Master's thesis about the
American photographer Dorothea Lange, she became highly inspired by (American)
streetphotography: A genre of photography that shows people in their ordinary
cultural, social and political environment and
turns into a beautiful portrait of an era within a single decade.
With that in mind Amber Beckers started this website. Since September 22, 2002
she has been updating this website every day with at least one photo taken that
day. It isn't history yet, but it will be tomorrow.
